Toronto natives Honors have released their dynamic debut single of 2019 “Falling Down.”
“It was an idea we had been playing around with for a while,” the guys said, “We knew we wanted a song that had a big energy, and that you could dance to…so when we added the breakbeat drums, we felt like we had something special.” The single follows their November 2018 debut record Feel Better.
“We want people to lose control. That’s how we feel when we perform it, and that’s the energy we want at our shows,” they add as they get ready for their first full North American tour kicking off January 11th in Quebec City.
“The song felt like it had a UK rave feel to it, and an emotion that is somewhere between antisocial and longing…” they said, describing the concept for the music video, “So it felt right to marry the music with the visuals we did from Trainspotting, and Layer Cake. They’re both incredible films.”
The band unveiled the single on January 8th just three days before they head out on tour, hinting that there is much more in store for them in 2019. “We’re always writing and recording, so it’s exciting to be able to release something spontaneously like this and see the reaction. We have a lot of music in the works, and getting ready to release.”
